New page

1. ''Self-management and accountability - influencing others - education.''

Feedforward aims to extend and enhance the concept of feedback.

Feedforward exchanges are designed to ensure that assessment has a developmental impact on learning.

Feedforward questions include "Where am I going in the longer term?", and "Where next, shorter term?"

It may include reviewing assessable work in progress, to provide guidance for improvement.

2. ''Artificial intelligence''.

A network in which information flows in one direction only, toward a predefined goal.

Contrasted with ''recurrent'' networks, in which the results of intermediate layers are added to the inputs for earlier layers.
