Natural resources are assets occurring in nature that are usable by humans for economic or other benefit.


The Natural Capital Committee advised the UK government from 2012 to 2020 on natural capital, including ecosystems, soils, freshwaters, and oceans.


Among other work, the NCC focused on development of a 25 Year Environment Plan for the UK, to be overseen by the Office for Environmental Protection (OEP).
