This term describes all payments which are not covered by the definition of large-value payments. Retail payments are mainly consumer payments of relatively low value and low urgency.
 
Formerly the independent body established by the UK government to investigate and report on circumstances, particularly mergers and takeovers, which might or might not create monopolies.
 
Replaced by the Competition Commission.
