Consumer protection - UK.

The Money and Pensions Service is an organisation which brings together three formerly separate providers of UK government-sponsored financial guidance:

  • The Money Advice Service
  • The Pensions Advisory Service and
  • Pension Wise

The Money and Pensions Service provides debt advice, money guidance and pensions guidance, with effect from April 2019.

The Service is funded by levies on both the financial services industry and pension schemes.

The Service is sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions, but also engages with HM Treasury, which is responsible for policy on financial capability and debt advice.

The Services's temporary name between January-April 2019 was the Single Financial Guidance Body.
