Transparent means having the desirable quality of making full disclosure of information to markets and other stakeholders, in such a way that they can readily see and understand what has been done.


A former UK Government department, which had the objectives of promoting and protecting consumer interests throughout the UK, while ensuring that business remained fair and competitive.
Transparent is the opposite of ''opaque.''


The work and responsibilities of the former OFT were distributed to a number of other bodies including the Competition and Markets Authority.

Transparent means having the desirable quality of making full disclosure of information to markets and other stakeholders, in such a way that they can readily see and understand what has been done.

Transparent is the opposite of opaque.
