The netting of instructions relating to obligations between two or more parties, as a result of which neither satisfies nor discharges those original individual obligations.

Also known as Advisory netting.


The Financial Stability Report is published by the Bank of England to set out its Financial Policy Committee's view of the performance of the UK financial system, the outlook for UK financial stability, and its assessment of the resilience of the UK financial system.
This is also referred to as payment netting in the case of payment orders.


The FSR is published in conjunction with the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Report.
