SOC 2 is an abbreviation for Service Organisation Controls 2.


The Blockchain Governance Initiative Network was established in 2020 to take a leading role in designing appropriate governance structures for blockchain.


Its aims include:
The SOC 2 report addresses a service organisation’s controls that relate to operations and compliance, in respect of availability, security, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.


*Creating an open, global and neutral platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue about blockchain.
A SOC 2 report includes a detailed description of the service auditor’s test of controls and results.
*Developing a common language and understandings among stakeholders with diverse perspectives.
*Providing trustable documents and codes based on an open source-style approach.
