Regulation - prudential regulation - supervision - investment firms - UK - Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

(IFPR).

The UK's Investment Firms Prudential Regime (IFPR) aims to streamline and simplify the prudential requirements for investment firms that the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) prudentially regulates in the UK.

Focus on harms that regulated firms can pose to other market participants
"In line with our objectives... [the IFPR] refocuses prudential requirements and expectations away from the risks firms face, to also consider and look to manage the potential harm firms can pose to consumers and markets...
The IFPR does not apply to PRA-designated investment firms. They remain subject to prudential supervision by the PRA."
