Located in Brussels, Euroclear is the world’s largest settlement system for domestic and international securities transactions (covering equities, bonds and funds), providing a comprehensive range of services to major financial institutions worldwide.
A percentage point is 1%, or 100 basis points.  


It also acts as the Central securities depository (CSD) for a number of countries including Belgium, Finland, the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Sweden and the UK.
An increase of 3%, say from 2% to 5%, is an increase of three percentage points, or 300 basis points.
