The regulator for the financial services industry in the UK.


Its aims include:

1. Protecting consumers;

2. Ensuring the industry remains stable; and

3. Promoting healthy competition between financial services providers.


The Financial Conduct Authority's responsibilities were formerly undertaken by the Financial Services Authority.
