The risk that the value of a firm or of an investment may vary because of changes in financial market prices (principally foreign exchange rates, interest rates or commodity prices).
 
The former UK body which, among its other duties, was the regulatory authority in the UK for most financial services markets, exchanges and firms.
 
 
The former FSA's responsibilities were divided and transferred to:
 
#The Financial Conduct Authority; and
#The Prudential Regulation Authority.
 
 
Some of the FSA's functions were comparable with the CFTC in the United States.
