COMPASS is the central component of the Bank of England's models for forecasting the UK economy.
A process of offering new securities for sale in a primary market, in which prospective buyers make binding commitments to buy, in advance of the new issue being made.


COMPASS is also supported by a suite of separate forecasting models.
New issues may be ''oversubscribed'' or ''undersubscribed''.




COMPASS is an acronym for Central Organising Model for Projection Analysis and Scenario Simulation.
