The Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) is the official gazette of record for the EU. OJEU is the successor to the Official Journal of the European Community (OJEC). It is often abbreviated to "OJ" where the EU context is clear.

OJEU is published now only online ("e-OJ"). Electronic editions of the OJ (e-OJ) published after 1 July 2013 have legal force ("are authentic"). The paper version no longer has legal force except when the OJ online cannot be published due to IT systems disruption.
A directive designed to increase consumer rights when sending transfers and money remittances outside the European Union (EU) or paying in non-EU currencies, and to promote the emergence of new players and the development of innovative mobile and internet payments in Europe.  


OJEU is divided into "series".
