A deposit rating is a measure of the safety of deposits made with the rated bank.

Deposit ratings use is limited
"Moody's deposit ratings could be a useful indicator to reflect the safety of bank deposits.
Unfortunately, their use is limited. Deposit ratings are currently available only for countries that have implemented the EU Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive, such as Germany and the UK."
