Software - data analytics - visualisation.
Power BI is a Microsoft solution for creating and enhancing reports.
- Consistent, clear & cheaper than a TMS
- "One treasurer explains that he was looking to achieve a central view across a large number of bank accounts, but that a TMS was deemed too expensive and time-consuming to implement because of the company’s structure.
- He therefore approached his IT team with a simple business problem: how could all of the bank balances be accessed in one place, with bank data available on a weekly basis?
- 'The conclusion was that we could combine the use of a front-end app with a data warehouse, and use Power BI to sit across the top of it to do the reporting,' the treasurer explains.
- 'The reporting we get through Power BI is consistent, clear, and easy to manipulate and derive bespoke reports from – and way cheaper than using a TMS.'"
- What’s in your tech stack? The Treasurer, Issue 2, 2024 - p38.
