TCFD is an abbreviation for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, established to develop voluntary, consistent climate-related financial risk disclosures for use by companies in providing information to investors, lenders, insurers, and other stakeholders.
Having fulfilled its remit, the TCFD disbanded in October 2023.
The IFRS Foundation has taken over the monitoring of companies' progress on climate-related disclosure.
