BRICS is an intergovernmental organisation whose members are Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates.

The name BRICS derives from the initial letters of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, its first five members.
