Contract - law - international relations - resolution.

In the context of contract, law and international relations, a dispute is disagreement about facts, law, the interpretation of law, territory or other ownership rights.

The parties to disputes may be individuals, organisations, states or others.

Legal disputes may lead to litigation or other forms of conflict.

Alternative dispute resolution is designed to achieve acceptable outcomes without litigation or other conflict.
