It is widely known for the set of rules known as the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP) which has become a universal market practice for documentary credits and for its ICC International Court of Arbitration - that is not a court or an arbitrator but facilitates the apoointment of arbitrators and the process of arbitration between parties to disputes related to international trade that have agreed to follow its processes.
