Asset backed finance - oil and gas.
Abbreviation for Reserve Based Lending or Reserves Based Lending.
RBL is a type of asset-based lending (ABL) used in the oil and gas sector.
Loans are secured by oil and gas assets, for example a developed and producing field or a portfolio assets in different stages of development.
The loan is generally repaid from the proceeds of sales from the field or portfolio.
