The Benefits Agency subsequently merged with the Employment Service to form Jobcentre Plus which deals with social benefits and job search facilities.

Responsibilities for pensions were transferred to the Pension Service.


Jobcentre Plus, the Pension Service together with the Child Support Agency and Child Maintenance Service form the agencies of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
