The second tier of the UK state pension scheme, for those who reached state pension age before April 2016.
Formerly known as the State Second Pension (S2P).
Otherwise eligible people reaching state pension age after April 2016 are no longer entitled to the Additional State Pension.
Instead, they will receive benefits under the 'new' UK State Pension.
