Social enterprises are profit-seeking businesses that reinvest or donate their profits to make positive changes for disadvantaged individuals or communities.
By selling goods and services in the open market, social enterprises also aim to create employment. Social enterprises aim to tackle social problems, improve people’s life chances, provide training and employment opportunities for those furthest from the market, support communities and help the environment.
