US government agency established in 1934 to stimulate US foreign trade.

The Ex-Im Bank is the official export credit agency of the United States federal government.

It supports commercial banks that are financing exports and provides direct financing, loan guarantees and insurance to exporters and foreign buyers of US goods.


Similar to the Export Credits Guarantee Department in the United Kingdom.
