(ICC).

The International Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1919 to promote international trade and established in Paris in 1920.

It is widely known for:

  • Publishing the set of rules known as the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP) which has become a universal market practice for documentary credits; and
  • The ICC International Court of Arbitration, not itself a court or an arbitrator, but facilitates the appointment of arbitrators and the process of arbitration between parties to disputes related to international trade that have agreed to follow its processes.
