(ICC)

The International Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1919 and established in Paris in 1920 to promote international trade.

It is widely known for the set of rules known as the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP) which has become a universal market practice for documentary credits and for its ICC International Court of Arbitration - that is not a court or an arbitrator but facilitates the appointment of arbitrators and the process of arbitration between parties to disputes related to international trade that have agreed to follow its processes.
