Representation

1. Contract.

A material statement made by one party to a contract to the other party which induces that other party to enter into the contract.

Misrepresentation can be grounds to sue for damages or to rescind the contract.

2. Law.

Acting on behalf of - or in the place of - another.

3. Portrayal.

A description or portrayal of something.
