The system of law regulating the interrelationship of sovereign states and their rights and duties with respect to one another.


The former body established by the UK government to investigate and report on circumstances, particularly mergers and takeovers, which might or might not create monopolies.
In addition, certain international organisations, companies and sometimes individuals (e.g. in the sphere of human rights) may have rights or duties under international law.


The MMC was subsequently replaced by the Competition & Markets Authority.


Also known, more simply, as ''international law''.
