An arrangement established in 2009 under which the Bank of England is authorised to buy high-quality private sector assets including:

  1. Corporate bonds.
  2. Securities issued under the Credit Guarantee Scheme.
  3. Syndicated loans.
  4. Asset-backed securities created in structures acceptable to the Bank of England.
