The 'EU-27' refers to the 27 member states of the European Union (EU) from 2020.
Tax charged on the value of goods and services bought and sold, rather than on net income or profits.


The term arose during the transition period leading to the UK leaving the EU in 2020.
For example, VAT.
 
 
It is sometimes written 'EU 27' or ‘EU27’.
