The main aims of Dodd-Frank are to:

  1. Promote the financial stability of the United States by improving accountability and transparency in the financial system;
  2. End "too big to fail";
  3. Protect US taxpayers by ending bailouts; and
  4. Protect consumers from abusive financial services practices.
