US. Abbreviation for the Dodd-Frank Act. In full, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.

The main aims of Dodd-Frank are to: 1. Promote the financial stability of the United States by improving accountability and transparency in the financial system; 2. End "too big to fail"; 3. Protect US taxpayers by ending bailouts; and 4. Protect consumers from abusive financial services practices.
