The former UK government department responsible for the assessment and collection of indirect taxes.

In 2005, HMCE merged with the former Inland Revenue to establish Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs, which became His Majesty's Customs & Excise on the accession of the UK's King Charles III in 2022.
