(ICC).

The International Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1919 and established in Paris in 1920 to promote international trade.

It is widely known for:

1. the set of rules known as the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP) which has become a universal market practice for documentary credits, and

2. for the ICC International Court of Arbitration - that is not a court or an arbitrator but facilitates the appointment of arbitrators and the process of arbitration between parties to disputes related to international trade that have agreed to follow its processes.
