Used, especially in the UK, to refer to equity and bail-in-able long term debt of banks that can be written down in case of financial distress. It includes both equity and bail-in-able long-term debt.


The Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance is a group of institutional investors - pension funds and insurance companies - established in 2019.


NZAOA members commit to transition their investment portfolios to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
The great majority of bank capital in future must be PLAC, in contrast with Secondary Loss Absorbing Capital (SLAC).




The NZAOA is convened by the United Nations.

Primary Loss Absorbing Capital.

Used, especially in the UK, to refer to equity and bail-in-able long term debt of banks that can be written down in case of financial distress. It includes both equity and bail-in-able long-term debt.


The great majority of bank capital in future must be PLAC, in contrast with Secondary Loss Absorbing Capital (SLAC).
