ESG ratings measure organisations based on an assessment of their quality, standard or performance on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
An independent EU Authority established to contribute to the stability of the European Union's financial system by ensuring the integrity, transparency, efficiency and orderly functioning of securities markets and enhancing investor protection.  
 
Examples include MSCI ESG Ratings, Sustainalytics ESG ratings and CDP.
