''Bank credit ratings.''
An assessment of value.

Issuer Credit Rating.
Valuation generally includes both calculation and the exercise of professional experience and judgement.

For a bank, its issuer credit rating takes account of the likelihood and degree of any external public authority support, as well as the bank's credit strength as an independent entity.
Some simpler types of valuation may be predominantly, or entirely, based on calculations.
