A 'sell-side' investment firm is one which offers services including:

  • Brokering
  • Dealing
  • Providing derivative products and solutions
  • Advisory services
  • Investment research

Sell-side firms are contrasted with 'buy-side' firms, which are the corporate and other customers of the sell-side firms.
