Something that is ready for immediate use, generally used in the sale or supply of goods or services.

The provider undertakes the entire responsibility from design through to completion of the product.


This is contrasted with built to order where the item is made to the buyer's exact specifications, or when an incomplete product is sold with the assumption that the buyer completes it.
