UK Government Schemes to encourage equity investment in smaller unquoted trading companies.

These are the:

  • Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS)
  • Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS)
  • Venture Capital Trust scheme (VCT)
  • Share Loss Relief (SLR)


The former UK Corporate Venturing Scheme (CVS) ceased for new investments after April 2010.
