Carbon markets are the markets in which carbon credits are traded.


Compliance markets are those driven by mandatory emission reduction targets for the participants.

Voluntary carbon markets are those where the participants are not subject to binding emission reduction targets, but instead choose to offset their emissions voluntarily.
