Development finance institutions - UK government.
(BII).
British International Investment plc is owned and funded by the UK government with the dual objectives of:
- Supporting business growth that lifts people out of poverty; and
- Making a financial return.
BII is wholly owned by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the UK government.
BII was was formerly known as the CDC, and before that the Commonwealth Development Corporation.
