1. Corporate finance - borrowing - insolvency - bankruptcy.
In relation to a borrower or other organisation, being in a condition where the organisation either:
- Cannot meet its debt servicing or similar fixed payment obligations; or
- Can only do so with difficulty.
2. Securities - other assets.
Distressed assets are securities issued by, or assets owned by, a financially distressed organisation.
