The Bureau of the US government Treasury Department formed from the merger in 2012 of the formerly separate Financial Management Service and Bureau of the Public Debt.
Its purpose is to promote the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the US government through accounting, financing, collections, payments, and shared services.
