Reference interest rates - alternative reference rates - Australia.

AONIA is an alternative reference rate for Australian dollar-based financial transactions.

It is the same rate as the Cash Rate calculated and published daily by the Reserve Bank of Australia.

The term originated from an acronym for AUD Overnight Index Average.
