Asset managers are commonly engaged by institutional investors like pension funds, and financial intermediaries, as well as high net worth individuals.

In the retail context, asset managers can also be individuals.


3. Operational and tangible assets.

A manager responsible for the safekeeping and maintenance of a revenue producing asset.

Often also including responsibilities relating to the revenues.
