Data mining is the automated process of identifying patterns and other valuable information in large sets of data.


The European Parliamentary Committee responsible for the economic and monetary policies of the Union, the functioning of Economic and Monetary Union and the European monetary and financial system.
It is also known as ''knowledge discovery in data'' or ''knowledge discovery in data sets''.


It also has responsibility for taxation and competition policies, free movement of capital and the regulation of financial services within the EU.
