Following Brexit, a potential future situation of relatively greater disconnection of the United Kingdom (UK) from European institutions such as the single market.
For example, a possible future situation in which the UK was not a member of the European Economic Area, as well as not being a member of the European Union.
Also known as 'hard Brexit'.
