Banking.

(IB).

Investment banks provide a wide range of services in the money, capital and securities markets.

In simple terms, investment banking includes securities trading and proprietary trading, contrasted with commercial banking, which refers to deposit taking and lending.

Investment banking also includes raising capital for clients, and advising on mergers and acquisitions.
