Any identifiable segments of a business or other organisation, or sometimes the whole of a business.

3. Central banking - systemic risk management - Bank of England.

Certain central bank activities to manage systemic risks to financial markets.

For example, lending operations, and the Operational Standing Facilities under the Bank of England's Sterling Monetary Framework.
